We are excited to announce that Macedon Ranges Health has partnered with VicHealth to help educate the community about the dangers of vaping and start important conversations on this important issue.
VicHealth has generously loaned us their eye-opening sculpture, "What's Really in a Vape?", which will be on display in Gisborne Village in the atrium (next to the lolly shop) from 31st March to 11th April.
The sculpture reveals the hidden dangers inside e-cigarettes, shedding light on the harmful chemicals and substances. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to learn more and have important conversations.
This initiative comes at a critical time, as e-cigarette use is rapidly increasing, especially among young adults. According to Quit Victoria, an alarming 77,200 Victorian adults who had never smoked before began vaping between 2018 and 2022, with the majority being between 18 and 29 years old.
We encourage the whole community to take a moment to visit the sculpture and understand the risks of vaping. Let’s work together to make healthier choices and support a safer future for our young people.
