Shayne Neumann MP Shadow Minister for Ageing visits Gisborne Oaks

Macedon Ranges Health’s Gisborne Oaks Residential Aged Care was delighted to welcome Shayne Neumann MP, Shadow Minister for Ageing and Rob Mitchell MP, Federal Member for McEwen for a tour of the Gisborne Oaks and a community forum on Aged Care and Dementia on Tuesday 12th April.
The forum was well attended by community stakeholders, local health providers along with MRH board members, employees, volunteers and residents from the Gisborne Oaks.
Don Tidbury, CEO of Macedon Ranges Health said “At Macedon Ranges Health we are committed to addressing the urgent ageing and dementia care needs of our community. The expansion of Dementia services including respite assistance is high on the agenda for us. Shayne’s visit and the dementia forum was a very positive experience for stakeholders in our community to contribute and have their voices heard. The number of people over 80 living in our region will more than double in the next 10 years so access to dementia and aged care services will be essential to our community.”
