MRH Volunteer nominated for Health Minister Award
20 May 2016
Macedon Ranges Health were represented at the 2016 Health Minister Volunteer Award Ceremony at Abbotsford Convent on the 18 May 2016. This year’s MRH Nominee Ian Beever was nominated in the category - Volunteer improving the Patient Experience Award. Joan Beever - Ian's Mother and a resident at Gisborne Oaks, Don Tidbury (CEO) and Allie Clare (Volunteer Coordinator) were honoured to be there as support.
There were 86 nominees in three categories and the Minister for Health pointed out that the judges had a very difficult time in making their decisions. Although Ian did not win his category all staff and residents would agree that he is already a winner. Ian was nominated for his empathy, kindness and selflessness that he shows in his volunteering role and so many people have said that his smile and kindness light up their day. We are so proud of you Ian and Macedon Ranges Health thanks you for joining our volunteer team and making the day brighter.
