MRH receive funding for Youth Clinic at Sunbury Downs College
19 December 2016
We are thrilled at Macedon Ranges Health to have received a Partnership Grant with Hume City Council which will go towards delivering a Youth Clinic at Sunbury Downs College. This clinic will provide bulk-billed Mental, Sexual and Physical health Services for youth in years 7-12. This will assist in addressing the identified health needs within the College located in the Hume region.
The Youth Clinic service at Sunbury Down College will complement the outreach clinics run by Macedon Ranges Health. In 2017 outreach clinics will be fortnightly at Gisborne Secondary College and monthly at Sunbury Downs College and Kyneton Macedon Ranges VCAL College (another new addition). These clinics will commence in February 2017.
Our Community Health Nurse and Youth Services Coordinator is elated that this service provides youth access to discrete and confidential services within their own school. This grant will also fund a Youth Health Expo to be delivered at Sunbury Downs College during 2017.
