MRH celebrates a great year of achievements at the 23rd Annual AGM
29 November 2017
We were delighted to host the 23rd Macedon Ranges Health (MRH) Annual General Meeting earlier this week. With well over 70 people in attendance, The MRH Board and I had the opportunity to share key achievements for the 2016/17 year with community members and industry stakeholders including:
- The expansion of MRH services - mental health, respite, children's autism, NDIS, social work & support for vulnerable people
- Excellent accreditation results achieved
- Industry awards & recognition received: HESTA, LASA and the Macedon Ranges Business Excellence Awards
A key focus of the evening was the planned amalgamation with Benetas to establish a best practice aged care community in Gisborne. Recently approved by MRH's Members, the amalgamation will create an investment of over $60 Million in Gisborne whilst supporting the expansion of MRH's Primary Care, Home Care, Independent Living and Residential Aged Care services.
Sandra Hills OAM, CEO Benetas attended as guest speaker and provided an inspiring presentation on "The Future of Aged Care" and the enormous benefits the Benetas/MRH amalgamation will bring to the Macedon Ranges community.
