Bendigo Bank donates bus!
4 March 2016
Macedon Ranges Health were delighted to receive the keys to a brand new Toyota Commuter bus generously donated by The Gisborne & District Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank. The bus will be used for transporting our residents at the Gisborne Oaks Residential Aged Care as well as used for community members that participate in our Lifestyle Enhancement Program.
“The Gisborne & District Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank is delighted to have funded a new bus for MRH”, said Graham Stewart a local Director.
“Community Bank ® branches re-invest a large portion of their profits back into their local community, and in this instance profits generated by local customers will directly benefit a wide spread of the Gisborne & district population. Our customers should feel a sense of pride when they see this new community asset on the streets of the Macedon Ranges.”
Don Tidbury, CEO of Macedon Ranges Health said “This year has been an exciting year of tremendous achievement for Macedon Ranges Health. We opened the Macedon Ranges Health Centre in March 2015 with services including a GP Clinic, Pathology, Pharmacy, Cafe and an extensive range of allied health services. Our Gisborne Oaks facility was the recipient of the 2015/16 Award for Excellence “Small Provider Winner” at the Leading Aged Services Australia Award and now to receive this incredible donation from the Bendigo Bank is such a reward for our residents, staff and community. One of our buses has done over 200,000kms and was well and truly ready for retirement so this could not have come at a better time.”
