Gisborne Colour Run and Walk
The Colour Run is Macedon Ranges Health's signature health promotion event. It addresses key health issues in our community including obesity and social isolation. The event is also our largest fundraising program. We are fortunate to the receive the generous support of the Bendigo Bank and many other organisations in the region. The Colour Run was first launched in 2014 and has run annually since then.

Annual Play for Heart Day
The Play for Heart Day was initiated in 2011 by the Macedon and Gisborne Junior Football Clubs in honour of Steve Simpson affectionately known as “Mr Football” who passed away suddenly at a training session with the Gisborne Club in February 2011. Since its inception Riddells Creek Football Club have also joined this special day. It has run annually since inception.
Funds are raised through a gold coin donation entry fee and a BBQ run by the clubs. The aim of the day is to be a great social day between the clubs; for the kids to enjoy a game of footy; to promote active lifestyles and to provide an opportunity for them to remember Steve and his contribution to junior football. For MRH it is a great opportunity to be involved in the football community and we are very grateful to receive the funding which supports health service delivery in the local community.
