Gina Mendoza has 10 years experience working as an accredited exercise physiologist.
During this time, she has worked in private practice, as a lecturer in clinical exercise studies at Victoria University, and a supervisor of post-graduate exercise physiology student practitioners.
Growing up, Gina was fortunate to have had 10 years training with exemplary Russian born and trained, ballet teachers of the Vaganova and Bolshoi classical ballet techniques. Her strong interest in movement rehabilitation for patients suffering from chronic pain, stems from this earlier knowledge.
Gina’s major passion is in working with patients suffering from chronic physical pain.
She also has keen interest in working with those who have chronic health conditions, many of whom will be suffering from chronic pain, muscle and joint stiffness, fatigue and difficulty in managing their everyday activities.
Gina is not a personal trainer nor a fitness instructor or a massage therapist. What she does do, is to teach her clients about how to move so that it is easier and less painful.
Gina’s consultations are 20 minutes long. For those who have been referred by their doctor on an EPC, they will be bulk-billed. For EPC clients there is no upfront cost to the patient.
For private patients, a single session is 20 minutes, and those with private health cover may be able to claim back some cost for exercise physiology services. Patients will need to check with their individual private health funds about this.
